A bag of goodies!

My eldest daughter Thalia asked me to create a bag so she could put a present in it for one of her friends at school. She told me that her friend loves pink and chocolate so I thought I would combine my favourite chocolate chip with the reverse side of the petal party sheet (I can't begin to count how much I have made using this set - a bargain at £15.50!!)

I hope her friend likes it, once Thalia gives me the present I will use some ribbon to close the bag.

Am going to get ready as I am holding a mini catalogue launch tomorrow so I'm off to bake cupcakes then I'm off to watch Summer in her school play!

Hope the weather is behaving where you are.

Easter Treats

Apologies again for being rubbish at blogging. My 8 year old daughter had to go into hospital rather suddenly but she's home again now and hopefully on the mend.

I decided that I really ought to be sorting out Easter and I came across this really cute box on splitcoaststampers so I thought I would try out my new papers from the scrapbooking kit Petal Party.

I used some acetate to create the peek a boo screen and filled the box with some mini eggs (yum!)I then stamped my chick using the A Good Egg stamp set and the reverse side of the scrapbooking paper (don't you just love double sided paper?)to punch out the scalloped circle. I used dimensionals to stick the chick onto a scalloped circle and stuck it onto the top of my box

I tied some pumpkin pie ribbon around the edge of the box and used the word window punch to punch out the Happy Easter Greeting
Now I just have to make 20 or so more and Easter will be sorted!

Amy

My friends daughter Amy had her bedroom decorated for her birthday so I decided that for her present I would create a canvas for her wall. The flowers in the top left hand corner are from my favourite Vintage Vogue set available from April in the new mini catalogue. I used some of the crystal brads for the centres.

Her mum gave me some paint and I decided on stripes to match her room. I then chose the Bold Brights family to create an array of butterflies down the right hand side. I curled every butterfly to make it more 3D and then used dimensionals to lift them off the canvas

I also used the you make life a beautiful thing stamp from the A Beautiful Thing stamp set.

I put her name inside some bottle tops and mounted them on scalloped circles

Here is Julies arty farty angle. I hope that Amy likes it when I give it to her this evening, it was great fun to make and looks really effective on the wall!

Am now off to Brownies, we are having a race night this evening so all the Brownies are going to be dressed up to the nines drinking virgin cocktails - wish me luck!

Mini Catalogue

In April there is a new mini catalogue coming out and one of the best bits about being a demonstrator is that we get to see things before everyone else! I ordered, well lets say rather a lot, of the products from the mini catalogue and have been having lots and lots of fun playing with them!I created this snazzy little box to hold 3x3" notecards. The cards are stamped using the Vintage Vogue stamp set.

The bird is a new style of punch which fold flat for easy storage. The stamp used for the top of the box is a new smaller background stamp again from the mini catalogue

- just think in 9 days time you too can order from this gem of a catalogue. Why not give drop me an e-mail and I can send you a copy! Ruthwareing@aol.com

I'm back!

Hi everyone, sorry I've been so slack with my blogging recently, I've been very busy with my daughters and I also found out that the new high speed railway link is going to run about 100yards away from my house!!!I also attended the Coventry training session with Stampin' UP! which was fantastic! I met some fantastic ladies who were all so kind and welcoming and would like to give a special hello to the lovely Bekka who was so sweet to me.

I've been blog hopping and came across my friend Jo's blog who designed a gorgeous box with some cards in and she opened the challenge so I decided to have a go using some of the wonderful goodies from the mini catalogue which will be available to order from from April!
I really enjoyed making this set using chocolate chip, old Olive and cameo coral. Check out Jo's gorgeous creation at www.stampin-n-stuff.blogspot.com. Have a great day and hopefully I'll be back soon.

pop up cards again!

This uses the new bird punch from the April mini catalogue which, I have to confess, is full of gorgeous stuff! I made another pop up card and just knew that the bird would fit perfectly!

Here's the arty farty angle.
and the card folded flat. I stamped white flowers all over the night of navy card and then used bordering blue for the mat of the tag. The paper is from the level 1 hostess pack. I hope you like it.
I am away from tomorrow as both my daughters are competing in an Irish Dancing competition. It's my eldest daughters first competition so she is very excited!
Have a great weekend and hopefully I will be back on Sunday!

Decided to have a go at a different type of card, I thinks it's called a free standing pop up card. My daughters picked the colours for me which made a change.

The card folds flat and then pops up to stand on its own.

Here's what my friend Julie would call an arty farty angle.

We got a new rabbit at the weekend called Bluebell, she is a lionhead and very cute. We wanted 2 but the others aren't ready until next weekend so she will be on her own for the first week, not that the girls are leaving her alone for one minute, she's getting more cuddles than me!

Hope the sun is shining where you are.

Fresh Cuts

I have been wanting this set for some time now and love what people have been doing with it. As my favourite colour is green and a friend very kindly gave me some certain celery ribbon I thought I would have a go at my own fresh cuts box and card set.
I actually put 4 cards with their envelopes in the bag.

I used the eyelet border punch to create the handle for the bag and put some celery ribbon on.

The Fresh Cuts set can be found on page 52 of the main Stampin' UP! catalogue priced at £18.95 and the notelets come in packs of 15 cards and envelopes for just £6.95. If you would like to order either (or both) please e-mail me

Lets hope that the sun continues to shine for the weekend!
