Picnic Box

My good friend Chris gave me a link to the most beautiful picnic basket tutorial so I just HAD to give it a go!

I covered my box using the Sweet Pea papers and then added Old Olive ribbon for the bows.

I used the flower punches to create the gorgeous flowers and cupped them to make them more 3D.

This is Summer demonstrating how the box opens. I attached little magnets at either end to hold it shut.

This is the view from the top. I put 3 flowers on the handle and a gem in the middle of each one.

I then made a card using the same flower technique.

It looks so effective. I used the corner punch for the top right hand corner.

Then I decorated inside the box.
What do you think? I love it and will definitely be making lots more of these!

Love you Much

Apologies for the rubbish pictures! My camera is not working too well this morning.

My lovely friend Chris came round yesterday and we had a play with the Love You Much set as both daughters have requested Valentines Day cards - ooeeer.

I used Elegant Eggplant and the white ink pad on this card. I then used the Boho Flower punch and one of the gorgeous brads to make the flower pop. I punched the bottom of each card with the 3 heart punch.

For this card I used Daffodil Delight and for the background I used one of the Confetti stamps. I used the Scallop Trim Corner punch to create the gorgeous corners on the Elegant Eggplant topper.

I used the Boho Flower punch again for this card. Can't make up my mind which is my favourite!

Hope you have a great day

I'm Back!

Finally, I seem to be getting back on track. Thanks for being patient with me. We had quite an eventful Christmas with my youngest daughter being very ill with flu and a respiratory infection. My youngest has underlying health conditions anyway so swine flu on top was not good! Trying to cope with her illness, hospital stays, a new puppy and my MS was not a good combination.

However, she is now back at school and feeling much better and I seem to be in remission again so I thought I would dust off the door to my craft room and have some "me" time.

I have started back gently with the gorgeous Just Believe set. I love this set as it is SO versatile and can be used for so many different types of cards.
With this first card I used Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped the image. After I had stamped it I used the paper piercing tool to go round the edge of the image to make it pop out on the card.
I then got out Riding Hood Red cardstock and teamed it with the Sahara Sand. I used clear embossing powder for this card to get a glossy look.
For the final card I used the red again but went for a more subtle look by just colouring the flowers with my marker pen and using the gorgeous scallop trim border punch.

I am hoping that now things are back to relative normality (well as normal as they can be in our house!) I will be posting a lot more often.
Have a great day
Ruth
