Texture

I wanted to create a set of cards that would be quick to make but would look effective and have texture.

I used the embossing folders from Stampin Up to emboss half of each card to add some lovely texture

I then used the dies in my Big Shot machine and cut out various butterflies and flowers in different papers and cards

I stuck the bottom die-cut flat onto the card and then raised the next die-cut up using a dimensional so that it added depth to the card.

I then stamped a greeting at the bottom.

Each card only took minutes to make but are so effective - what do you think?

Murphys Book

Something a bit different from me today. It's an expandable book I made to welcome our puppy Murphy.

As you open you it different photos appear .

Some of the pictures appear to be upside down but it all makes sense when the album is fully open

I used my favourite chocolate chip cardstock and used the flower cuts outs from last years catalogue.

I just wanted to show you how you can create something very simple from one sheet of cardstock.

I used some patterned paper to make the cover and the back piece.

What do you think?
The possibilities are endless and its a great way to showcase some of you favourite pictures that you can carry round with you.

I hope that you are enjoying your Easter.

Happy Easter

Good Morning all!  I spent most of the day yesterday sorting out my craft studio.  I took an armful of black bags and some polish and disappeared into the garden and returned about 5 hours later with this project and a clean desk!

I can take no credit for the design of this project.  I came across a very talented lady on Pinterest  here and I just loved what she had created.

I decided to use the gorgeous hostess papers from the main catalogue as the colours are so vibrant.

I used the fun flowers die to create the flower on the card and the top of the treat tube.

This is the top of the treat tube, I used the smaller 2 of the 3 flowers.

The tube could easily contain a necklace or earrings but I put mini eggs in mine.

I hope that you like this project, feel free to leave a comment.

Have a very happy Easter.
