Mothers Day

I am lucky enough to have 2 mother in laws, one is very traditional and the other is a bit less so. I wanted to create similar cards that reflected their personalities.  Because I love the spiral flower die so much I have had to learn how to make boxes to put my cards in :)

I used the butterfly punch on this card and was inspired by Bekka Prideaux who posted a gorgeous card on Pinterest.

For my second card I wanted something bolder and brighter so I used Daffodil yellow and bright oranges and reds for the roses.  I also used one of the gorgeous doilies. This card was inspired again from Pinterest but this time by the very talented Stampinchic.

I am pleased to say that both mother in laws loved their cards as much as I enjoyed making them.  If you are inspired, have a browse through my online shop and start creating your very own beautiful cards, I'd love to see them.

Burlap Wreath

As soon as I saw this wreath in the new Spring /Summer catalogue I fell in love with it!  I know that some of my customers can't afford to buy everything they need to create something so beautiful all at once so to have it come in a kit form for the great price of £15.95 I knew they would sell fast, and they have.  Everything you need to create a wreath exactly like the one I made in the photo above is included in the kit along with all the instructions.  They look beautiful when finished.

If you would like to order one the catalogue number is 133333 and you can order directly from my shop by pressing the button below.

Have a great day creating

A new Die to "die" for

My mother in law recently moved into her new flat and I wanted to make her something that was personal to her.  She doesn't like pink anything, including flowers, so I used the wonderful new spiral flower die in the spring summer catalogue to create some beautiful roses in yellows and oranges.  I bought the hearts from Sainsburys in the sale for about £2.50!  The die is so easy to use and you can cut out up to 4 sheets of card at the same time so it's really quick to make the flowers.

I used the a glue gun to keep the bottom of my roses together and to attach them to my heart.  The die is such great value at just £15.95.   I have used it every day since I got it so be warned, there are going to be a lot of posts coming your way with roses on!

Let me know what you think.
