Butterfly Day 4

Final day for butterflies.  I snuck in the gorgeous grunge stamp set again to create some interest in the corner. I used pearls this time instead of rhinestones.  I also used the middle thinlet from the set.  If you purchase this set (and you can very easily by pressing the shop now button below) there is a trick to cutting them out easily using wax paper.

All the cards I created this week have used only 2 stamp sets and I wanted to show how versatile they are.  Why not have a go yourself?

Butterflies Day 3

THis is a bit sneaky as it doesn't actually feature a butterfly but the stamp I've used is from the Butterfly Basics stampset so I didn't really cheat.

To create the background I used one of Stampin Ups fab clear acrylic stamping blocks and coloured it in using the maker pens. I then spritzed it with water and stamped it directly onto the whisper white cardstock, held it there to set and then, voila, a unique background!  I stamped over this using the flower stamp. stamped in Staz On Ink.

Butterflies day 2

Welcome to day 2!

This is made using a technique called Partial Retiform.  Its a quick and easy effect to use but very striking.  Today I have just used the Butterfly Basics stamp set, some post stick notes and a bit of scrap card.  You can find a link to the youtube video I watched here Video

I am so loving the blackberry bliss and Mossy Meadow, I know they're not really spring colours but they do go together so well.

Come back tomorrow for card 3 and something a bit different.
