Another sneaky peak....

I love this card.  I had seen a few created looking through the window to outside so I thought it would be cool to create one looking inside.  This is probably one of my favourite things about Stampin Up!  Everything goes together so well.  I used the Brick embossing folder and the new Perfect Pines Bundle together with the Festive Fireside and Hearth and Home bundles.

I used an acetate sheet to create the "window pane" and used dimensionals to make the window appear raised from the brick wall.  I added glitter to the Christmas tree (you have to have glitter) and I thought the paper looked a bit like wallpaper.

I'm really pleased how this card turned out and I fell I will be making a few to sell at the Embassy Christmas Fayre.

Remember the catalogue goes live on Tuesday and you can order all the products I've used over the past few days by clicking on my shop now button.

Reason for the Season

I love poinsettias at Christmas and I know my mother in law does too so I created this card for her.  As the poinsettia is so dimensional I thought the card deserved a box.

I love glitter at Christmas but I don't love it getting everywhere so to create the glitter outline on my box I used double sided tape, added the glitter then covered it with a piece of paper and ran my brayer over it a few times.  I find that helps to press the glitter into the glue on the tape and it stays there much better!

This bundle is going to be very popular and you can see why.  The flower is so quick and easy to create and there are so many possibilities with the set.  The co-ordinating punch makes light work of cutting everything out.

I thought I would add a touch of glitter to the petals too (after all, you can never have too much glitter!)
I hope you like the card and that you're getting excited to order some "stash" when the catalogue goes live on Tuesday next week!

Christmas....

A sneaky preview of the new Autumn/Winter catalogue that goes live on September 1st.  I know I say this every time but every time the catalogues just keep getting better and better and I love everything inside this one!  You can see it on my blog from 1st September and order through my 24 hour online shop, just click on the shop now button.

There are lots of super bundles available.  Here I have used the Hearth and Home thinlets together with the Sleigh Ride Thinlets and a saying from the Cozy Greetings stamp set.

I created some curtains to frame my window and just added a touch of gold glitter to the trees and lights in the homes.  The paper is from one of the new paper packs.

I hope you like this preview.  I will hopefully be back tomorrow with some more.

Mini Treat Bag - Oh The Possibilities!

I have been playing with the Mini Treat Bag die and I think I've fallen in love with it!  It has sooooo many possibilities and comes with everything you need to make gorgeous bags time and time again!.

I created this bag to put some diabetic cookies that I had baked in to give to a friend as a treat.  As my one of my daughters is a coeliac I bake most days and wanted to make something that my friend could eat too and it just looks so much more caring if you give a hand made gift in a hand made bag.

This bag was used to put some of the gluten free cookies in for my daughters friend who is also a coeliac.  I put the cookies into a clear cellophane bag and popped it inside this treat bag.

And last but not least, this bag was created for my eldest daughter who did so well in her end of year tests that she was allowed to get the top of her ear pierced so I bought her some new earrings and popped them in the bag.

I will be playing some more with the dies over the coming days and will show you what I come up with, in the meantime

Another Shaped Card

I decided to make another shaped card, and to stretch myself even further, I made it for a man!  I always dread when someone asks me to make a card for the man in their life.  I like butterflies and flowers and easy to make cards.

However, with the Celebrate Today set I found it a doddle to create a "manly" card.  I embossed the yellow balloon using the star embossing folder and I then used the Balloon Framelits to cut out the balloons and the bunting.  I was really pleased how it turned out in the end, and thankfully, so was my friend who has asked me to make her 3 more to put in her "just in case I need a male card" folder.

have a great day and

Shaped Cards

I decided, whilst I was lying on a beach in Borneo, to try and stretch myself with my card making when I got back home to Beijing.  So today when I woke up and realised it was still 30+ degrees outside and very humid, that I would take advantage of my air conditioned studio and get to work.

This card uses the new Mint Macaron Cardstock which is lush along with the Pretty Petals Designer paper pack which is a really useful 6"x6".

I wanted to just put detail in the 3 centre circles so I used my framelits and butterfly punches.

I love how the circles seem to hover in thin air.

This card certainly took me out of my comfort zone but  really enjoyed creating it and will try and continue to make more interesting cards.

I hope you like it and if you would like to have a go at making this card, I have listed all the supplies below and you can shop 24 hours a day by clicking the link "Shop Now"

Have a great day
