Butterfly Basics

A very dear friend of mine is having a bad time of things at the moment and even though we're miles away in Beijing I wanted to send her a card to let her know that we were thinking of her.

The Butterfly Basics set fitted the bill and I made this card for her.

I decided to cut the flower out and layer it onto the top of the ribbon so that it gave the card more depth. I added buttons and a butterfly and the card is quite busy from what I usually create but I am very happy with it.

Fabulous Freebie

This gorgeous stamp set is even more fab as it's free if you spend £45 in the main or new spring/summer catalogue.  It's a 3 step stamp so fab for adding dimension to your card.  It's also really quick to create something wonderful.

I decided to try and make something a bit different from my standard shaped cards and I made this front step card.  It's really effective for a single image.  I had to add the butterflies too as they're just too cute not to!

Bow Maker Punch

I am a member of the British Club in Beijing and one of our lovely members is leaving us and we wanted to make her a card to thank her for everything she has done for us.

I love the new Painted Petals Stamp set in the spring Summer catalogue so I decided to use the flowers for the front of the card.  I then used the sentiment from the Big News stamp set.

The bow punch helped me to quickly create the lovely bow on he front of the card which I think makes the card really stand out.
