Sneak Peak

One of the very best things about being a Stampin UP! demonstrator is getting a sneak peak at upcoming products.  There is a new mini catalogue coming out on September 1st and I have to say it is filled with the most gorgeous things it will be be almost impossible to choose!

I wanted to create some quick and easy Christmas cards and the new catalogue has a wonderful set of stamps with matching framelit dies.  I cut out each image using my Big Shot and then stamped it. I added some pearls to the gingerbread man to brighten him up.

I added some bling to the Christmas tree.  The papers are also from the new catalogue.

The absolute best thing about this card is that above the mug (which is very difficult to see) I have embossed some "steam" but the embossing powder is scented - YEP! SCENTED! It smells just like sugar and spice!  How cool is that?

I promise you, you will want a copy of this catalogue, and you can have one too.  Just drop me an email at ruthwareing@aol.com and I will pop one in the post to you.

Have a great day

Cased Card

I can take no credit for the design of these cards, they were designed by Stampin UP! and I found them here

I changed the colours to suit me.

The cards are so quick and simple to make but so effective

I stamped the co-ordinating flower onto the envelope to make it even more special.

They close together beautifully.

I hope you like them.  Just remember that you can order all the supplies used to create these cards from me as an Independent Stampin UP! Demonstrator.  Just e-mail at ruthwareing@Aol.com and I will be happy to help you to create your own masterpieces.

Have a great day

Get Well Soon

A male friend of ours has been unwell lately and I wanted to send him a card to let him know that we care.
I am always unsure what to do for the "men" when it comes to cards but this image seemed perfect - not girly at all!

I embossed the image (and the text) and then used my aqua painter and ink pads to colour in the image. I hope that he likes the card and that he feels better really soon.

More Texture

I hope that you are all enjoying the summer.  I've had a great time with my girls and they've been helping me to sort out the craft studio in the garden.  It has 3 rooms so we have one each.

I love the embossing folders from Stampin Up the Elegant Bouquet is definitely one of my favourites.

For this card I inked the inside of the embossing folder to create a different look using the same folder.

For this card I used the Embosslits Die Beautiful Wings to add even more texture to the card

For this card I used a Stampin Up marker to highlight the stems of the embossed image and then added tiny pearls to the centre of each flower.

I love to take one thing and see how many different ways it can be used.

If you would like to purchase any of the items used above, or indeed anything from the gorgeous Stampin UP! range then please e-mail me at ruthwareing@Aol.com and I will be happy to help.

Have a great Day

Watercolour Embossing

I couldn't resist having a go.

It's one of my best friends birthdays so I thought I would make a card using this technique and I was really pleased with the result!  It really is a wow card and very different from anything I have done before.

This is a close up of the embossed roses.  I used my Stampin UP ink pads and an aquapainter but I think the effect is just as good.  I then used the big butterfly die and the butterfly embosslet to create the butterfly accent.

What do you think?

EVA!

It was my beautiful nieces 1st birthday last weekend and I wanted to create a special card for her. I still love the Rich Razzleberry cardstock and I paired it with Rose Red Seam binding ribbon and a bit of the luscious bakers twine from the mini catalogue.

When it's all tied together with a little heart charm it looks really cute!

I wanted to add some sparkle to the number 1 and it turned out that she loved the card (as only a one year old can)

Have a great day
