Sweet Stampin Challenge

I have been browsing the web and came across a site that gives challenges. I have never had a go at anything like this before but I liked the sketch so I thought I would give it a whirl. Please let me know what you think.

Not sure if I'm supposed to give a list of the bits I've used but it's mainly stamping up loot which I love

Yesterday was spent in A&E with my eldest daughter who dislocated her shoulder falling down the decking steps! Poor love. I have to say we had the best Dr ever! He was so calm, gave her morphine before they moved her arm and then popped it back in without her even noticing! She is much better today thankfully and I was very proud of her as she was very very brave!.

I managed to finish a card I had been commissioned to make for a friend. It's for a diamond wedding anniversary. I did a Bookatrix card, embossing the top page with my cuttlebug and then embossed the butterflies onto parchment paper. I used swarowski crystals on the ribbon and the printed a poem onto some parchment. I used peeloffs for the red hearts.

This is the card on its stand.

For the box I used crystals again and then made the tag with parchment paper and card, used a heart shaped eyelet and then ribbon with hearts on.

I have to say my friend LOVED it! I was really pleased with it too. I don't usually go in for lots of stuff on a card but this did look nice.

This last card was made using my lovely as a tree Stampin Up stamps. I used alcohol ink to make the background and then matted it. Apologies for the poor photo, my temporary one armed daughter insisted on taking it!

Now the snow is melting I'm not sure how much time I will have to escape into my craft room but I had such a big parcel of goodies from Julie I hope to hide in there for some time tomorrow.

Have a great weekend. Ruth

Just a quickie!

Just a quick card today using the Flight of the Butterfly Stampin Up Set which I love. We are bracing ourselves for some more snow tomorrow. We have a long, sloped driveway and although we have 2 4 x 4 vehicles it doesn't always mean we can get out. Still, if we're snowed in again it means more time to craft!

Have you checked out my friend Julies new blog? www.juliesjapes.blogspot.com I'm not jealous at all!!

A Rose is a Rose

Can't take any credit for the design of these cards as I "borrowed" them from Jennys blog. I just used different colours!

Let me know what you think!

Criss Cross Cards

Hello!

We had more snow here last night and as both girls have had friends over I have been busy again. I have been inspired by splitcoast stampers to have ago at using alcohol inks on foil and was really pleased with the results!

I have added 3 criss cross cards here and then a very simple one I made using one of the stampin up wheels. Have I mentioned before how much I love the Stampin up stuff? I am even toying with the idea of becoming a demonstrator!

Thanks for looking

More cards....

Took full advantage of the girls being off school today. Whilst they were busy building snowmen I made cards!
I promise that I won't upload this many every day as I never normally get this much time. This set has been made using the circle circus stamp set which I LOVE! The cardstock is always artichoke, bravo Burgundy and so saffron as are the inks. The sentiments I think came from the saleabration catalogue last year.

Thanks for looking

Where it all happens...

Here are some of my cards. I have been inspired by Julie, Jenny, the In love with stamping website and many other places!

acetate cards
My new shelf unit form Ikea!

This is the view of my desk

This is the veiw from the door!
It looks very messy but believe me this is tidy for me! I have to say that if I put things away I can never find them again so the stuff I use all the time tends to get left on my desk! My room is long and thin and along the wall you can't see ther are shelves of boxes full of other stuff, a draw unit full of stamps and my paper storage. It's a real retreat and great that there's room for the girls to make cards too!

Welcome

I have been inspired by my Stampin up buddy Julie to create a blog showing what I have been doing with all the Stampin up goodies I have been buying every month. I am taking advantage of the heavy snow and the fact that the girls are happily playing on the Wii to start my blog. I will try and upload some photos of my creations. Please feel free to leave a comment so I know you stopped by :)
