Christmas card and a new family member!

I got the idea for this little robin from the very talented Jenny Moors, her blog is listed on my page under stampingmoments.

I then decided to create a shadow card by cutting a cirle out of Old Olive and then stamping my wreath from teh Welcome Christmas set (still on offer!!) onto very vanila cardstock and then add some gorgeous glitter

The card has a 3 dimensional look but folds flat to go into an envelope!

The robin looks so cute on the branch don't you think?

On Saturday we got some photos sent to us from my lovely step son Christopher. He and his lovely girlfriend had bought two huskie puppies and they were gorgeous!

Well, Mark, the girls and I are suckers for animals what with the dog, the parrot, the chickens, rabbits etc so we just happened to check out the breeders page where we got Beamish from and lo and behold she had some gorgeous GSD puppies.

Of course, once the girls had met them it was a done deal and we came home with:

MURPHY!

He is so gorgeous, blue and gold and so gentle. Beamish thinks he's great and I'm in love all over again. I mean look at that face - how could you not love him!!

Have a great day

Two tone embossing

I was browsing the web this morning and came across a very talented lady here. Donna created a gorgeous card using different coloured embossing powders and I loved the way it looked so I decided to give it a go.

This first card uses my favourite old olive and I embossed with gold on the large snowflakes and silver on the smaller ones.

The second card is not quite navy and I used the gold and silver again.

This is a close up of the large snowflake and it really glistens in the light!

The last card is real red with Dasher. I embossed Dasher with silver and then used the dazzling diamonds glitter with the heat and stick powder for his antlers.

It really does sparkle in the light.

I am now covered in glitter but I had forgotten just how much fun embossing is, it's almost magical when it changes from the dull colour to something shiny!

Let me know what you think.

I'm Back!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately, I put my back out again and haven' been able to move for a couple of weeks!
I have been able to get up and about the past few days so I decided to have a go at making something a bit different - crackers!

Please excuse the photo quality - I can't find our digital camera so I had to use my phone!
I made a box to match this one. I used the stampin up wheel and the gorgeous gems to add some bling.

I used double sided tape and then stuck stampin up glitter onto the tape to create the glittery black linesI used the contemporary Christmas set for this one along with some more of the gorgeous glitter
to create this one
I used the gorgeous Melon Mambo to make this one especially for my youngest daughter.

I hope that I will be able to continue getting better over the next few days so I can play some more.

Thanks for sticking with me.
