Perfect Pairs

Those lovely people at Stampin' UP! have come up with another fantastic offer for March - Perfect Pairs. During the whole of March you can get 20% off select punches when you purchase the coordinating stamp set. Check out the brochure on the right hand side of my blog.
To give you an idea of what you can create I decided to make a little something for Mothers Day;

The stamp set used is Flight of the Butterfly and I used the butterfly punch to punch out the butterflies! I also used the Say it with Scallops stamp and punch set to create the for you tag on the box.
I also made a card to go with the box of goodies

and decorated the inside
To buy ANY of the 4 sets and punches please e-mail me Ruthwareing@aol.com but get in quick, the offer is only around for March.

Have a great Sunday

I survived!!

I had a fantastic weekend away with the Brownies, we did go karting, wall climbing, fencing, team assault course, circus skills and zip wire! I arrived back home with 48 very tired Brownies and a lot of very tired leaders!

I held my very first open house this morning and had some lovely ladies come along. We made the butterfly thank you card
They were all very proud at how professional their cards looked! There is a fantastic offer starting on March 1st, for one month only, whereby if you order the Flight of the Butterfly set and then the butterfly punch, you get 20% off the price of the punch!! How cool is that? Now you have no excuses not to be able to create gorgeous butterfly cards. Check out the top of my blog for the other sets and punches which are included in the offer

I also made a card for one of Julies Jems - the lovely Sarah-Jane. I hope it arrived in time and that she's having a lovely day!

This is the card closed
Then it opens out to show the flowers and the greeting inside

And here it is standing up! I hope she likes it!

Am now off for a chicken wrap and a large cup of tea!

Have a great day!

Another Good Egg

I love this stamp set and this morning my new paper cutter arrived so I thought I'd better try it out by making another Easter card!

One of the things I love most about the Stampin' UP! Products is the fact that everything is co ordinated. It makes every card you make look lovely - even mine!

I am off to take my Brownies on an adventure weekend to Kingswood House today, leaving my husband home alone (well with the dog, parrot, rabbit, chickens etc). I'm glad to see that all the snow is melting so hopefully the sun will stay out and we'll have a great time!

If I survive, I'll be back on Monday!!

Have a great weekend.

A Good Egg

Good morning!

Last night my Good Egg stamp set arrived so I just had to have a quick play. Made a card and then realised that the battery on my camera was dead! After a night on charge it's feeling better so I have taken a couple of pictures of an Easter card.

It's a card within a card. The yellow smaller cold folds over the larger pink one and then tucks beneath the gorgeous chick in the scalloped circle.

This is the inside

The places on my Saturday afternoon classes are filling fast and my friend Deb and I are arranging a day of crafting in March which will incorporate the Good Egg stamp set just in time for you to create some gorgeous Easter creations! Please e-mail me at www.ruthwareing@aol.com.

My darling baby daughter (who's actually 8) was crafting with me last night and whilst I had left the room to cook the tea she took it upon herself to tidy my craft room! I walked back in and it was FAB! How lucky am I? Two daughters who both love to craft and tidy up for me!

Hope you have a great day!

Sale-a-bration

Wow! The sets of stamps for sale-a-bration this year have been GORGEOUS! I used one of the Happy Moments stamps that you can get FREE when you spend over £45.00 in the general catalogue (easy to do let me tell you) and then cut out an aperture using the scallop punch. The flowers have all been coloured in using the pastels (my first ever attempt at using these too!)

I then got out the On a Pedestal Set (from the general catalogue) which I am loving right now, you can do so much with this set and they are great for cards for men too! (though maybe not in pink passion)

I have been busy watching the results for the All Ireland Irish Dancing competition as a lot of the girls from my daughters class are dancing this week. My daughter will be old enough to compete next year and she's very excited! We also let our chicks (now 12 weeks old) out with the big chickens to see how they got on. There was a bit of "hen pecking" but they seem to have fitted in just fine.

I am holding a couple of open house sessions one on Wednesday February 24th at 10am and one on Saturday February 27th at 10 am, they will give you a chance to make a card, have a cake and a cuppa and a browse through the Stampin' UP! catalogue. If anyone is in the Kenilworth/ Warwickshire area then please feel free to drop in - the more the merrier

Hope you're all having a great weekend.

Card 2 is cased from Jos blog here http://stampin-n-stuff.blogspot.com/, I hope she doesn't mind
I just played around with the colours.

Last but not least is another card using the on a pedestal set

I also used the stem sayings set for the greeting down the side.

I hope my friend likes them all!

I am now officially a Stampin' Up! demonstrator!!! I am SO excited and have some great ideas to try. I have been speaking with another demonstrator local to me and we are going to meet up and arrange a demo/workshop morning in the next month or so.

To get me started as being part of the wonderful Jules Jems I thought I would take part in a challenge set by Sarah P to create a card using only blush blossom, rose red, bravo burgundy and old olive (one of my favourite colours!!) I used the rose is a rose stamp set and a hostess set to create the background flowers. I will try and get my camera to focus better on my next lot of cards that I upload so please forgive the quality of the picture.

It's lovely being part of such a wonderful group of ladies and they have all made me feel so welcome. I have also signed up for the training day on March 18th. If there is anyone local to me who would like to join my Stampers 10 club and come along to a free make and take session on the evening of the 18th then please e-mail at ruthwareing@aol.com and I will sort out a place for you.

Have a great day!

Sweet Stampin Challenge

Those lovely ladies on Sweet Stampin have come up with another challenge - scallops! I decided to use a scalloped card and then scallop as many things as I could! I have used the Trendy Trees stamp set and stamped the swirly one onto chocoalte chip card.

I have spent most of the afternoon with my eldest daughter at the hospital to see about her shoulder. She has been told that it will take months of physiotherapy as she keeps sublaxing her shoulder (technical term) so she's a little miffed at the moment - but it hasn't stopped her crafting!

I signed up to become a Stampin Up Demonstrator this afternoon so I am really excited about that too!

Hope you're all having a great day!
