My other daughter

I got into trouble the other day for scrapbooking one daughter and not the other so I got out my gorgeous pad of Sweet Pea papers (only available until the end of September!!) and loved how the colours of the butterflies matched so well with Thalias top!

I put some glitter on the wings of the butterflies but you can't see it too well on the photo. I used my serif alphabet on old olive to create the title word 'beautiful' and then cut out the "you are so".

I really enjoy my scrapbooking and Stampin UP! makes it so easy with everything coordinating so well.

My new stash arrived yesterday and I am SO excited! I have my hands on ALL the new colours and they are GORGEOUS! I can't wait to show you them all - but I'm going have to make you wait until October 1st I'm afraid - sorry!

I am having a new catalogue launch party on October 1st at 10am though if you would like to come and see the new catalogue and have a look at some of the lovely new products Stampin UP are offering us you will be very welcome! Just e-mail me at www.ruthwareing@aol.com

Scrapbooking

I knew as soon as I saw this photo of my youngest daughter Summer, that this picture had to be scrapbooked and I had just the perfect set! I used elements from the Petal Party scrapbooking kit and also from the die cuts set.

I used my pretty in pink marker to make the edges of some of the flowers more interesting and then layered them around the photo using dimensionals on some of them.

I then created a line on my page using the gorgeous 1" double stitched grosgrain ribbon in bashful blue.

I kept the journalling simple by using my marker again on so saffron card and then just trimming and sticking it onto my page.

It was a really quick page to complete but I think the colours go so well together.

Thanks for stopping by

A Quick Christmas Card

I decided to run my Time for a Tree wheel (which is reduced for September and then gone forever!) along the bottom of a folded whisper white card. I then used my markers to quickly colour in the cars.

I then took my glue pen and drew over the trees and covered them with glitter! Really quick and really simple and very effective.

If you would like to order the Time for a Tree wheel before it's gone forever it's current price is £4.13 plus delivery.

I would also like to submit this card to the Sweet Stampin Challenge "Winter Wonderland".

Have a great day

I'm back!

We had a lovely holiday in Ireland and it was great to see Roisin and Chris get married. Roisin looked beautiful and the wedding was lovely.

I thought I would share a couple of the photos from our holiday. The above picture was taken on Mulranny beach and most days we would be joined by a very tame seal there!

Our Blue German Shepherd Beamish had a wonderful time. I don't think he was dry the whole week. It was the first time he had seen the sea and he loved it!

The girls decided that it would take too long to change into swimsuits so they just went in fully clothed.

It was nice to have a break and get out of the house after being "trapped" for 6 weeks after my surgery.

And now we have the fantastic last chance list from Stampin UP and the new calendar which launches on the October 1st (I've seen it and believe me it's full of GORGEOUS goodies) I am going to be running a wish list service for anyone who would like to get their other halves to contact me and make all their Stampin UP dreams come true for Christmas and birthdays.

Talking of Christmas, I managed to get into my craft room yesterday and I played about with bleach.

I used Night of Navy cardstock and the gorgeous medallion stamp and used bleach instead of ink! As long as you clean your stamp straight away the bleach does no harm.

I then used the Merry Christmas stamp and embossed it in gold and then bleach stamped the reindeer. It's really effective and great fun and you can experiment with different coloured cardstock to see different effects that the bleach has.

Anyway, I hope you like my card and if you want to order anything from the last chance list then please e-mail me or call me on 07590568117.

Have a great day
