I was asked to do a wedding card for my friend and she wanted something a bit different so I went for my Melon Mambo which is a gorgeous new colour from Stampin UP!
I stamped the circle from the MR and Mrs set and then embossed it with silver. I then stamped the Mr & Mrs in Melon Mambo.
I used the flowers from the set and the Now and Forever stamp for the inside.
I also embossed the tiny hearts from the Tiny Tags set.
I hope that she likes the card.
I am now off to look at Slimming World recipes as even though I've had food poisoning I still need to lose a stone or 4! Wish me luck.
Have a great day

Lydia
It's my nieces birthday tomorrow and I wanted to send her some money. I took the wonderful Jenny Moors idea of creating a card with a perforated section but instead of making it into a bookmark I changed the dimensions and made it into a removable money holder!
The bit which says Amazing, thoughtful etc is the pocket that I can put her money in and she can then tear it off so that she can keep the card.
I then decorated the envelope to match.
I'm not usually this creative. I am very good at copying other peoples ideas but with the Stampin UP! stash it's so easy to be creative.
We went to Heythrop Zoological Gardens this weekend for their open day. My friend Mims father in law owns it and is a very famous lion tamer. He is often spotted on the Discovery Channel.
He has been training some white lions and Saturday was their first public outing and they were amazing.
He had the lions waving, jumping through hoops, running on barrels and the girls were in awe as were Mark and I.
After the lions we took them out to have a camel ride each which they both loved.
They love the fact that my friend lives at such a cool place and they can go there anytime. Unfortunately for me, Thalia fell in love in the reptile house and is now asking for a snake......
Have a great day

Mims Birthday
It's my friend Mims birthday today so I have been busy creating a card for a change.
I used the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set which I am pleased to say is in the new catalogue.
I like the easel cards as they look so elegant and a bit different from lots of other cards.
This is the inside of the card, all ready to be written.
I also like to decorate the envelopes as it really finishes the set off.
My washing machine has gone kaput this morning and the engineer can't come out until Monday so my laundry room is going to start looking like Mount Everest. Still, on the bright side, if I can't do the washing I may as well craft!

Spot the Classic Mistake
I decided to make one of these gorgeous bags - with a little help from the creator the lovely Adela, you can see her bags on her fab blog here.
It was so simple to make (when I stopped being a prat) and they look so elegant.
I created the little purse and used some of my gorgeous brads so it would all coordinate
I sat back feeling quite proud of myself as I have been really poorly for the past week with campylobactor food poisoning and this is the first day I've managed to be up without feeling too dizzy. Still can't eat anything though!
I showed my girls the bag and Summer admired it and asked for a pink one. Thalia admired it and asked for a black one and then said "why are the trees upside down?"
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH
Now I Have to start all over again! This time in pink and black, apparently.

My other daughter
I got into trouble the other day for scrapbooking one daughter and not the other so I got out my gorgeous pad of Sweet Pea papers (only available until the end of September!!) and loved how the colours of the butterflies matched so well with Thalias top!
I put some glitter on the wings of the butterflies but you can't see it too well on the photo. I used my serif alphabet on old olive to create the title word 'beautiful' and then cut out the "you are so".
I really enjoy my scrapbooking and Stampin UP! makes it so easy with everything coordinating so well.
My new stash arrived yesterday and I am SO excited! I have my hands on ALL the new colours and they are GORGEOUS! I can't wait to show you them all - but I'm going have to make you wait until October 1st I'm afraid - sorry!
I am having a new catalogue launch party on October 1st at 10am though if you would like to come and see the new catalogue and have a look at some of the lovely new products Stampin UP are offering us you will be very welcome! Just e-mail me at www.ruthwareing@aol.com
Have a great day
