A CASED card

I was perusing Pinterest the other day and came across a stunning card made by the super talented Karen Squires.  There is a link to her beautiful card and blog here
I have never made a trifold card before but I figured it can't be that simple surely?

Thankfully I managed to create something I was happy with.  I love the Watercolour Wings stamp set it so incredibly versatile and loads of fun to use.

I used the Endless Birthday Wishes set to create a greeting for the inside, you can create so many personalised greeting using this set.

This is for a special lady and I hope that she likes the card.  I had lots of fun making it and I am sure it won't be the last trifold card I make.

I am now off to pick my gorgeous girls up from school.  There is only a day and a half left of the term here in Beijing.  I cannot believe that we have lived here for almost a year!

Scrapbooking the other daughter

I am really enjoying my scrapbooking right now.  I especially love how verstaile the Project Life stamp sets are.  They worked really well on this page.

The photo was caught on my phone just as we were leaving Ritan Park in downtown Beijing before Christmas last year.  It was bitterly cold and Thalia was modelling her new coat and boots. The stamps really help to make the page look something like the cover of Vogue.

She's very happy with her "cover page".

Scrapbooking

We went away for Chinese New Year as the Beijing winters are flipping cold!  We took the girls to Phuket in Thailand for 10 days and it was beautiful!  One of the days we took a boat trip out to the James Bond Island and at one point left the main boat to venture out onto canoes.  Mark had the camera and Boo in his canoe and managed to capture this gorgeous photo of her.

Well, of course, it needed to be put into my scrapbook.  I used a lot of the Project Life stamp sets that I have on this page and lots of little accents that I wouldn't normally use such as the sequin hearts and stars but I love how it's turned out.

I copied the flowers from her hair with the punches to add more depth to the page

Just scattering some of the sequin stars and hearts to the left added a bit of sparkle too.

The stamps look great on the card here and Boo herself was very pleased with another addition to her scrapbook. What do you think?

Birthday Cupcake

Today I used the circle card thinlet die to create this card.  It comes with everything you need to create a flip card and it's so quick and easy to use! I love how you can have different things on each side of the flip circle.  I used You're The Best on the front and then made a cupcake for the back.

I used the gorgeous new Cherry on Top papers, they are so colourful and would certainly brighten my day. It's very hot over here in Beijing but we have been experiencing the most amazing thunderstorms the past few nights.  The lightening has been so bright it's hard to sleep so I've been in my craft room creating instead.

Why not have a go at creating a card yourself and then put a picture in the comments section.  You can buy all of the products I've used 24 hours a day using the link through the Shop Now button below.  I would love to see what you come up with.

Kissing....

Today I've experimented with a new stamp set called I Think You're Great and it's very cool because it has plain and patterned stamps in the set which allows you to "kiss" the stamps creating different looks.  On the card above I "kissed" the I think you're great stamp with one of the patterned stamps.

This is a card made using some of the new In Colours without any "kissing"

And this is the same card created using the "kissing" technique.  It's very easy to do and allows you to get even more use out of your stamps!

gift bag punch board

This project has been quite difficult to photograph.  I created a gift bag using the new Gift Bag Punch Board and then created a flower using the Bouquet Bigz die.  All of this has been made using the gorgeous new cotton paper assortment pack.  The paper is almost like wax paper, thin but very sturdy.

This is the front of the bag, I sponged Watermelon Wonder on the edge of the petals and the greeting is from the You're So Sweet stamp set.

The Gift Bag Punch Board makes gift bags in many different sizes and this paper is perfect if you don't want a bag that's too rigid.

One More Sleep.....

.....Until the new catalogue is launched and I am sooooo excited.  Just to tease you all I am showing you another little project I made using some of the wonderful new goodies!

I love using the woodgrain embossing folder to make the card stand like an easel.  Here I have used some of the gorgeous new lace ribbon.

I made a little tote bag and added a butterfly, it's big enough to hold some small chocolates or a lip gloss, I love giving lip gloss as a gift

The card has the stamp image embossed in white to make it really stand out.

I will be back tomorrow with the new catalogue on my blog and you will be able  to order your own new goodies through my shop now button.
