Something a bit different from Christmas Cards

One of my gorgeous nieces (I'm lucky enough to have 4) was 18 in September and even though we're now miles away in China I didn't want her to miss out on a card.

Of course for an 18th the card has to be extra special so I spent a lot of time playing with stamp sets, colours, dies etc to come up with something perfect for her

I used a lot of gems on this card but I really wanted to add some sparkle to her day

I'm not sure why my computer is not rotating the images today, I do apologise.

I really enjoyed making this card and thankfully my niece loved it. I even used the envelope punch board to make a box envelope for it but I forgot to take a picture!

Enjoy

Wonderful Wreath

I love, love, LOVE this stamp set and especially like that you can buy it as a bundle deal and save 15%!!! The deal includes some gorgeous dies for the big shot allowing you to quickly and easily cut out the wreath and the dies come with the added bonus of the words Joy and Noel.

I like how you can create two completely different cards using the same stamps.  With the card above I used an embossing folder to add more dimension.

With this card I used my old favourite Hardwood stamp and the sentiment from the stamp set. I like both cards as they are quick and easy to complete which is essential at this time of year!

Have a go yourself, all the supplies are listed below and you can buy them all by clicking on the shop now button.

Decorations

I have booked a stall at the Embassy Christmas Fayre and someone asked for decorations.  I pulled out my trusty rosette die and fired up youtube and came across this talented lady: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXc0d9qdzX4#t=679
Obviously I don't want my decoration to be an exact copy so I changed the colours and didn't use ANY ink pads which has to be a first for me!

Green is my favourite colour and there is just a hint of it in this designer paper so I used green cardstock with my medallions die and then added a touch of sparkle with the silver glimmer paper (it's Christmas - you've got to have glitter!) ad then topped it off with one of the gorgeous snowflake embellishents from the Autumn/Winter catalogue.  Everything I used is listed below and you can get it all delivered straight to your door by clicking the shop now button.

Give it a go, I would love to see what you come up with

Gift Cards

I don't really like giving money as a present for Christmas as I never really felt that I had put much thought into the gift.  However, now having two teenage daughters with friends I find that a gift card can make them much happier than most other things.  So I needed a way of giving the gift card that showed that I had wanted to make it special.

And voila! A gorgeous gift card holder made using the envelope punch board.  They literally take a couple of minutes to make and look soooo cute.  You could always put money in there instead of a gift card but either way, they look very Christmassy and much better than a plain old envelope!

Give it a go!

crackers

I love to decorate the table at Christmas but I don't really like the tat that comes in the crackers.  This year I wanted to create my own crackers each with a personalised gift inside.

Of course I'll still add the joke and the paper hat but each dinner guest will receive a special gift picked just for them.

This meant that I had to create different sized crackers for each person.  I made all of them using my scoreboard and envelope punch board.

My favourite is the smallest Santa one.  It's sooooo cute and I can easily fit a pair of earrings or a necklace in there.

There's a lovely video from the very talented Joanne James here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t09iaNJ6w3E

I hope you have a go and send me some pictures of your Christmas Crackers
